These are the easiest pillowcases you'll ever make. They are some of my husband's shirts that he didn't wear anymore, and you know me, I love to cut up clothes! I would show you a tutorial, but I made these pillowcases about 8 years ago. Yikes! Time flies when you're having fun.
All you have to do is lay an old shirt across an old throw pillow (you know...the one in the back of your linen closet that just doesn't "go" with your furniture anymore). Cut your shirt to fit it, leaving a little extra on all sides. Make sure to keep your shirt buttoned up while you cut and sew on it. Wow, that almost sounded a little risque. Then sew your two shirt squares together inside out, of course. If you want it to be a little extra fancy, turn your sewn-together pillowcase rightside out and sew all the way around again to give an extra finished look.
Voila!
New pillowcases that are easy to take off and wash, and you never even had to sew on a button or zipper! Now unbutton it, shove your old throw pillow in, button it back up, and throw it on the couch or bed.
